"Courtship"

KIM HICKS PRESENTS
TWO EXCEPTIONAL ONE WOMAN SHOWS

"Couples?"

Based on the works of Jane Austen and Dorothy Parker

Kim Hicks completed a three year course at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in 1980. After receiving no immediate offer of professional work she decided to create her own employment by developing a one woman show on a literary theme. As a long time Jane Austen fan the choice of Kim's subject was quite straightforward and "Courtship" was soon compiled. Encouraged by the enthusiastic reception of all who saw the piece the obvious next step was the Edinburgh Festival where it played to packed houses and a very favourable critical response.

"Courtship"was followed in 1982 by a second one woman performance entitled "Couples?" based on the poems and short stories of the American writer and critic Dorothy Parker. Although her work is less well known in this country this show is nevertheless extremely popular too.

These shows can fit in anywhere!

The continuing timeless appeal of Jane Austen and the growing interest in Dorothy Parker make both these acclaimed performances THE choice for entertainment.
Both shows are of an adaptable length and "shape" to suit your needs and the requirements of your particular venue.
