Kim Hicks completed a three year course at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in 1980. After receiving no immediate offer of professional work she decided to create her own employment by developing a one woman show on a literary theme. As a long time Jane Austen fan the choice of Kim's subject was quite straightforward and "Courtship" was soon
compiled. Encouraged by the enthusiastic reception of all who saw the piece the obvious next step was the Edinburgh Festival where it played to packed houses and a very favourable critical response.Theatre Royal Bath (the main house and to a full house).
